Not every aspect of minimum wage living can be portrayed in a 30 Day setting. The government has a lot of programs for the needy. More importantly, I watched this with my children to show them the importance of going to college to increase their chances of success. I do not want them to live on minimum wage. I grew up poor, with parents that worked minimum wage. It has been a struggle for their entire lives. When minimum wage workers are of age to retire, what do they do? Work until the day they die? Can they retire? Social Security will not support them in their golden years. I believe Mr. Spurlock's goal was to open our eyes to the basic struggle of life.
