Amazing how so much of what he is talking about are still issues today, to bad we don’t learn from our mistakes. Republican or democrat, liberal or conservative we need to pay closer attention to what our government does with the power we gave them.Two of my favorite quotes from this speech would be:“You and I as individuals can by borrowing live beyond our means, but for only a limited period of time. Why then should we think that collectively as a nation were not bound by that same limitation.”“All of us need to be reminded that the federal government did not create the states, the states created the federal government”If you want to watch another great speech of his that is very relevant today check out YouTube or Google video and watch the 1964 Republican National Convention Speech, its called "A Time for Choosing". Love him or hate him that was one fantastic public speaker.
