Actually, I do see some sexism here - quite convienient that only girls between a certian age range ( all young ) can become shikabane hime - nor can they actually BE a hime without the contract monk ( all male except one ). I don't think it's blatent sexism - but it has that feel to it. Just a little too convienient to throw some young sexy girls on the screen. On the other hand, it really wasn't blatent sexism so I'm not too sure you could call it that. Plus, in anime, it's often par for the course. See 3 other replies

Have you noticed in the show that all the shikabe hime, or however you spell it, are women? No men? Don't men have regrets when they die too?
