a couple of episodes of "The Twilight Zone". Evan Hunter, who wrote the screenplay, is also Ed McBain, author of "The Blackboard Jungle" and the 87th Precinct police procedural series. Norma Crane was a member of Elia Kazan's Actors Studio and premiered on Broadway in Arthur Miller's "The Crucible". Clu Gulager has the horror genre in his blood -- he was in 1987's "Return of the Living Dead" and 2006's "Feast" -- the latter directed by his son, John Gulager.

As for the AHP vs. TZ conflict, de gustibus non est disputandum.

I was expecting something weirder. Someone ranked this above Twilight Zone but if this episode is any indication of the rest of the series it doesn't come close.
