As another poster said, Read this after you watch it, if you don't want the ending spoiled.
Liked this every much. The woman wants to keep the memory of her husband alive. She believes that what they shared will survive. Even though, new love is presented to her, she would rather believe that the ice will keep her husband from changing from what she remembers and they will be connected again.
She is right but not with the result she hoped.
The ice did keep him from changing. As the two other actors age, he remains young. What also doesn't change is that he had the locket of another woman around his neck. The woman finds out the folly of her desire to hold onto the six month bliss she had. In holding onto the myth of the past, she has lost the opportunity of creating a new life with a truly devoted and loving man. With no family or siblings, she has led a life of solitude devoted to a fallacy. Now after 40 years of waiting, her youth, the bright memory and the opportunity at a new life and love is lost.
Better to have held onto the memory in her mind and sought closure than to obsess over physically connecting to what is dead and ultimately turns out to be a deception.
Really like this.
