There are interesting visual corollaries in this episode to André De Toth's 1953 3-D movie "House of Wax".
Everett Sloane, of course, was part of Orson Welles' Mercury Theater and has meaty roles in both "Citizen Kane" and "The Lady from Shanghai". He also provided voices for the sixties cartoon series "Johnny Quest" and wrote the unused lyrics to "The Fishin' Hole", the theme song for "The Andy Griffith Show".
Another interesting piece of trivia -- Barry Nelson (co-starring with the great Peter Lorre as Le Chiffre) was the first actor to play James Bond in a 1954 television version of Ian Fleming's "Casino Royale" on the series "Climax!"
