For Hitchcock fans (such as myself), it was a nice change at the end. When Hitchcock comes in at the end he nomally tries to clean up the messes that the plays leave for the viewer. I love to imagine my own outcomes at times and have even gone to the extent of skipping his little rants at the end.
If you like to have some "dark" hope, this one should give it to you! It seemed that in those days everything had to be put back in place: i.e. the bad guys lose, good guys win.
* Spoiler Alert* One gets away with it, by Hitchcocks rants, but one is not so lucky. But hey one so-called bad guy came through this time. I liked that he did because he wasn't so bad...at least he didn't kill anyone anyway.
