(Moreover, take note that there are two -- not one, but two -- characters in the movie named Heidi. (Very likely insight into the Editor's mindset, yet maybe you did not watch the movie either…)

She was their pet, their plaything...both men saw her as their property. Any time they say they love her it is in the context of her body or sex. Both men (one kinder than the other) want/love/need her because they have control of her. Since this was written by a man to begin with, it doesn't surprise me that she was so foolish. If this had been written by a woman, she would have moved away and lived alone to build up her self-confidence and self-respect.

This film had me guessing what Alex's next move would be. She was a bit unpredictable.

What these two men saw so special in that stupid selfish ugly mixed up woman is beyond me!!!

Both men in this woman's life failed her. She had serious mental health issues, perhaps biological or perhaps due to mumsy, the movie leaves this unresolved. If either of these men had truly loved her and understood her they would have tried to help her.

Both men thought all they had to do was love (or posess?) her. She asked both of them for help and neither was able to put her needs before their own.
