The end of the previous episode left on such a cliffhanger that I had to watch this one right after.

I must say that this episode changed my entire idea of this series. I don't like this series anymore, I officially love it!

I won't spoil anything else - just watch the episode and stare in awe.

Personally I loved Serenity, Minai was on the show a very short time, but I loved that episode, for the sole reason of how much it affects Ouri in the future. And for some reason I just really liked Minai as a character, dunno, just me. See 3 other replies

This is the best episode yet. The story has been built up so well up to this point. I am sad to see him go, he sacrificed it all for them.

But he accepted his fate, and moved on. I was moved to tears. So sad.

The image of Makina, in battle-torn clothing and wearing only one shoe and stocking, standing out in the open and howling at the sky as tears stream down her face, has been forever etched into my brain.

A lot of action anime fail to establish an emotional connection between you and the characters, and at first I thought this series would be like that. But Dawn was an amazing episode!
