WOW. "Get over it" in reference to how Christians feel about homosexuality and how the rest of us should respond to it. Well, I could "get over it", if Christians would keep their religion out of my legal rights.
I think it is a real shame that Christians want to legislate THEIR religious morality. The laws of a land that has true freedom of religion should be based on universal ethics, not religious morality. Therefore there should be no Blue Laws or constitutional amendments based on limiting personal freedoms because of SOME of the citizens religious beliefs.
amanning317, you are free to never be gay. No one will force you to be gay, drink on Sunday, perform stem cell research or have an abortion.
I won't force you to meditate, use incense, abstain from eating meat or recycle. I can keep MY religious beliefs out of your civil rights, why can't you do the same?It would be nice for YOUR religious beliefs to not interfere with MY RIGHTS.   See 16 other replies

This is what happens when we take verses out of context...:-/ If a letter was to be read out loud to a group of people, regardless of what the letter is about, and the reader picks out lines from the letter to prove a point, it is highly subject to inaccuracy.Of course there is a time for everything. Ecclesiastes 3 points out that there is a time for everything. What it does NOT say is "do all these things" or " it is good to do all these things". It is simply stating that as human beings all these things are part of life. Everyone is going to feel an emotion of hatred or love towards something every now and then. The bible also says that it is perfect, without error, and breathed into existence by the Holy Spirit/ God Himself. I understand how you might feel about things you wrote above but I encourage you to dig deeper and study the context and history behind ecclesiastes.
