this is a good show, but it lacks some sort of deeper relevance that other more successful shows have. the final thoughts of each episode fail to resonate beyond the immediate circumstance, grabbing the viewer and making you empathize with the situation. however, it is well acted, and some of the writing (for instance, during the intervention scene in this episode) is incredibly raw and touching. i just wish it had more relevance beyond the moment, more universal content. this sounds cheesy, but look at shows like 'desperate housewives,' 'sex and the city,' these shows apply universal truths to the smaller scale workings of the characters lives, and are very effective.
