If SNL hasn't been funny in 15 years, you're saying that Will Ferrell wasn't funny, and that makes you retarded.This is one of the best casts they've had in a while, and that makes it pretty lame that Amy is leaving, I've thought she was funny ever since I saw her on UCB.Also how can say the Sandler, Farley years weren't good at the end? Their best years were when they were the main focus of the show in like 94 & 95Therefore to argue that SNL hasn't been funny in the last 15 years is to say that Farley and Sandler, and Ferrel were all not funny. That makes you sound stupider than the conservatives whining about how liberal the writing is. Agreed snl isn't any good any more. I'll agree that the '90s snl wasn't the best, but it was the last time it was good. Sandler, Spade, Chris Rock, can't remeber anyone else from back then cause Its late as hell, but they were good.Also, mad tv was almost never funny.   See 33 other replies

you are crazy. Kenan, Amy,Tina,Fred, they are all really funny. Maybe some new additions to the writers team would help.And better bands No more auto tuned pop stars.no more kanyes, or lil waynes . Also, I don't think they give Fred Armisen enough characters. He plays Obama, and the guy on Weekend Update who can't ever finish a complete thought... and that's all that I can think of. I would say that's probably true. The actors/actresses really are pretty good IMO (a few shine more brightly of course), they each have their own advantages... the writing just seems to be on and off. Maybe some of the newer cast members need to weigh in more. Or maybe Seth needs to resign as head writer, if he has final say in stuff. He's not really all that funny - he does Weekend Update pretty well, but only because he's silly. But most of the Weekend Update stuff isn't very funny either and I'm sure he's involved in that. I would agree with you there. Sandler and them weren't that good. And I have to say that Jimmy Fallon is by far the worst SNL cast member of all time. He was not funny one time and could never keep a straight face EVER!Kirstin Whig is one of the funniest cast members to grace the show. She rarely is in a sketch that isn't good. Overall I don' think this cast is bad, I think that this is one of the best cast in the history of the show. I think it is the writing that needs drastic improvement. 15 years ago? Really? That was the Sandler, Spade, Carvey, Myers era, and they were all horrible, which is why no one watched the show back then, and why all of them have done nothing but make terrible movies since then. The only funny one in that whole era was Farley.   See 33 other replies
