Dorothy Stickney is the usually prim, lonely spinster in this peek at the underbelly of city living. Justus Addiss directs this Marian Cockrell teleplay of a somewhat grisly Roy Vickers story. I suspect the original story was more gruesome than the censors allowed on TV. I'm glad this was in black-and-white--I'm the squeamish type. I wonder if this was when Hitchcock started to think about doing something like "Psycho"? Nice photography direction by Lionel Lindon.
Oh yeah, about cat care: if you have an "inside" cat, keep it safely inside, away from cat and rat diseases, and possible falls, and dangerous traffic and nut jobs. And if YOU'RE a serious nut job, don't be responsible for a pet. And especially if you live in a creepy apartment building, don't sleep with the window unlocked or open.
