It's what they get for being greedy. A multi=thousand dollar return for getting your firends to cough up what little cash they had or had to borrow from (most likely) parishoners? Well, ANY haLF-WAY intelligent person/pastor worth his salt would have seen this one coming. In my opinion, these pastors deserved to be taken down and DID deserve to lose their face and shirts for their part in this. It was pure, unadulterared, out-and-out GREED, on the part of these pastors!!
Not ONE of these pastors was INNOCENT in this scam... and, they need to face up to their own part in this scam.

I think we should just get rid of the whole religion/god thing in the first place. We just need to focus on helping people get mentally healthy. You simply just don't do super irrational and unethical things when you are mentally healthy (I would say that there could be minor exceptions but that seems unlikely to affect what I'm saying) When we get people mentally and physically healthy (With Science) then we will have a much better probability that people are going to be rational, ethical beings. It takes looking at mental disorders as holistically and objectively as possible. Looking at them as people, not monsters or deadbeats or addicts or otherwise, but as people who have issues that need to be solved. Technology will drastically improve our probability of success.
