it's mostly an advert for the AB brand on our culture.
It was interesting to see some of the internals of AB, seeing their process and history. The show as a whole is really all about the Budweiser branding. Such blatant branding merged with culture is uncomfortable for me *shrug*. Coke is worse though, because at least beer is a 'human' thing, it being the oldest known recipe.
These brewmasters are some of the best in the world -- making beer with such intense consistency across several recipes (they vary the recipe based on shifting price of ingredients) takes real skill. However, they are making consistent boring beer.
The enjoyment of budweiser is a different product than enjoying good beer -- common craft and home-brew (i brew my own) is *significantly* more satisfying; really it's a completely different product. Bud has a cultural impact that it's riding on, but this will die out in a half-generation or so.
