Some spectacular aerial-view scenery and a few outstanding close shots. Poor writing and direction. Not well tied together; dangling conclusions in several places. The sequence of following the water pipes was way, way, way too long and should have been run at high speed. Insufficient meaty info, too much footage of city streets and planes and stuff, waste of tons of footage on very few things, doesn't convey the point very well, talks down to its audience. I would have cut this down to about 20 minutes and rewritten and redirected the whole narrative. Should have had shorter clips of many, many more things, and quite a lot more explanation. Annoyingly vague. Very, very, very slow. No sense of immediacy or perspective. Doesn't grab the viewer's attention and convey the urgent need for all of us to do something about disappearing plant and animal life. Comes across as a somewhat entertaining "lite" story. The tone of the narration was that of a fairytale. Very few facts. Disappointingly, the well-timed clips appeared at the end during the credits. I wish the narrative had pulled this together.Doesn't come close to the usual National Geographic standards about similar topics. Suitable as an introduction to ecology for very small children.
