Nothing special here; guest star Ricardo Montalban gets most of the screen time in his efforts to stay out from under the thumb of both the forces of the law and the underworld during an investigation into the death of a back-alley abortionist. I guess the powers at be at "Ironside" decided they needed a trip to the Latino side of town to bring some spice into their usually very whitebread (with apologies to Mark) proceedings. There's a last minute revelation regarding the responsible party that really isn't too hard to suss out beforehand. A very young and skinny Rafael Campos has a small part as a feather weight boxer. This wouldn't be the first time the Chief and his crew get a bee in their bonnets about abortion; the later season two episode "A Matter of Love and Death" deals with this topic as well, though much more meaningfully.
