just watched it over the weekend, have to say one of the best movies i have ever seen.. and its also an insight to life in india.. nothing new being from pi, but overall just a good glimpse of a different culture. the love story here easily one of the best on screen romance duos, titanice.. the notebook.. walk to remember... etc.. its right up there- plus the soundtrack is great. was wondering how it won the oscar, now i know fist hand! i recommend it to anybody... this movie achieved what it set out to do- jai ho!

Great movie. Even for regular Americans, it is a learning experience about the real India. This movie was about to get dropped if Fox Searchlight didn't pick it up. It is bound to sweep the Oscars. IMDb polls show slumdogs leading in every nominated category. Funny thing is, my HR block financial adviser recommended it. See 2 other replies
