This is one of my favorite documentaries concerning the medieval ages. And as others have pointed out this is much better than a textbook. A great narration and story.

Anyone interested in history and understand today's events and the legacy that these events left should watch this.

And I love the music used. Anyone know where I can find it?

This is a highly entertaining presentation about how the power, vision and struggles of the Medici family of Florence built the world we know. If you love history, this is an exciting and brilliant tale of how a man with a walnut shop became the most powerful man in Italy. Although that power was bought with blood and brutality, the benefits we share today are classical learning, art, music, literature and way of thinking that arose from the Medici reign.
The reenactments are beautifully shot and the narration and story are riveting. If you love the Sopranos, meet the real deal here!
