You're right: let's watch bullies be shot and raped by the victims. That's okay, as the victims are only going for revenge.
Dude, seriously. What the victims did was way out of line. They committed a serious criminal offense and hence deserve the consequence of their actions. I'm not playing it that bullying is okay, because it's not. I was bullied and went through middle school and high school with no friends because I have a social disorder and have trouble speaking in public. I was very shy and bullies loved to spread rumors and toy around with me all the time. So I hate bullies. But no one, whether victim or bully, deserves to go through the emotional trauma of having a gun waved in their face.
There's not much schools can do against bullying, as it's difficult to prove bullying if you are targeted in a secluded area where only you and the punk are witnesses. School officials should, through rarely do, be more aware of the troubles a kid is going through instead of choosing to be ignorant or not wanting to get involved. Too many young kids have died because an adult doesn't see the signs of distress and you end up with suicides, school massacres, or situations such as this.
