He asked Chef if everything was perfect in his own kitchen to make it look like he wasn't doing anything wrong. What a pig! Of course Chef's restaurants are spotless! Perfect I bet compared to yours! What a stupid question. See 1 other reply

The little french guy saying Chef Ramsy isn't a great cook is ridiculous, but than to say he was voted best chef in Conejo valley was very very dumb

And I am stunned to see that this place is still open. If you go to their website you'll see that the chef went back to his grandmother's living room decor and the menu is the most complicated and long-winded thing I've ever read involving food. He won't be open in another year.

...better. however, this is one of the few US versions that didn't totally suck. the US shows are melodramatic, materialistic, frenetic little dumb reality show makeover things, and the voice-over is crap. the BBC verison is quasi-documentarian, less melodramatic, more focused overall, more focused on the artisanal aspects of restauranteuring and cooking, more about about food than stuff, and Gordon's voice-over makes the show happen.

Gordon's people skills astound me. In almost every episode there's ONE person who's the root of the problem. Only once in that indian restaurant could he find someone who he couldn't manage.

I think my favorite part of any show is when Ramsay takes that one person outside and has it out with them and by the end of it—no matter how pissed they were at the beginning of the show—they're a new person ready to give their all. THAT is leadership if you ask me.

Great episode, however this little French chef is one of the only people I've seen on this show that really did not deserve Ramsay's help.
