This show was so amazing. Well written, great actors, characters, protagonists and antagonists. I started out somewhat skeptical of how much I'd like the show, and grew to love it within a few episodes. High-tech and action-packed, while at the same time captivating, compelling, understandable and well-thought. Some of the scientific and technological concepts presented during the show were more then believable and most modern shows couldn't touch on the amount of research and thought the writers put into this show. The dialog between agent Hobbes and Fawkes alone made the show worth watching. There may have been a few holes in the plot or writing here and there, but overall this show should never have been canceled. I remember seeing the descriptions for a few episodes and thinking it sounded boring, but watched because it was integral to the overall plot of the series. I was never disappointed. Sci-Fi (Sy-Fy) should have fit the bill for this show for at least one more season, it would have been well worth a financial loss during the airing of the season for the gain that they would have received from DVD sales. I don't understand why these networks are all about the "now" of a show, never seeing that it may have future potential. Many shows that were canceled could still be on the air, these networks are just too cheap to keep them on, and will cancel them at a moments notice. It just seems really pathetic to me that the value of a television series is truly placed upon it's profit and viewers, rather then the actual quality, creativity and originality of the series. The same goes for all avenues of entertainment I guess. =(
Also, it is true a lot of people missed out because of lack of cable. Why a real network never picked it up is beyond me! If it would have aired on NBC, we would all still be enjoying it! Just that thought alone pisses me off.
