It's 2:25 am, PST. I just watched 4 other shows, all of them total pieces of garbage. I was hesistant to watch this one, but... I'm glad I did. It was dark, the characters had some good set-ups for later progression, the setting was a likable dystopia; Arnold wasn't in it. I disagree with the fellow down there that said the acting was bad - granted, it wasn't the greatest - but compared to the last shows I just watched, it was almost near Shakespearean! I'll review later episodes, but I did enjoy this pilot.

This show's got all of the properties of a great science fiction story. Cool new technologies, ethical issues surrounding that technology, space, physics and philosophy. All rolled up within a mystery that makes for plausible fiction. I can't wait to watch the next one! Too bad there is only one season.

I bet Issac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke would love this show.

I think Stargate SG-1 was released the same year as this one. It started as a movie, lasted over 10 years, spawned another show and a movie or two all while maintaining true mediocrity. This Total Recall 2070 looks like it has much higher production value, better acting, better storyline for the first ep anyway, and more compelling characters. Plus, it looks like Chinese is dominant in this future, as it should be, kind of like Firefly.

This show has aspects of Brainstorm, Blade Runner and iRobot, plus a little Minority Report for a lack of murders. I'm also feeling a little Demolition Man here. "We're police officers! We're not trained to handle this kind of violence!" That kind of vibe. (Love Rob Schneider.)

I don't care if they copy, as long as they put it together right. We'll see.

I realy like this show but like all good shows during that time period alot got canceled.I think some of them were ahead of their time and audiances were not ready for them like they are now sci- fi is more fun to watch with the advancement of technology such as cgi .A thought if you buy a dvd from the u.k it may not play on your dvd player because it may not be in the correct region.For more info about regions go to amazon .com.

I read through some references on Wikipedia about where and how to get the complete series on DVD. Unless I missed something, it looks like that's impossible right now. Amazon does have the series premiere episode on DVD but that's all I've seen. Anyone else with some Total Recall DVD sightings?
