Yes, you pretty much know where the show is going but I like that. It's especially fun when it starts out much like the old days when Goldblum did Tenspeed and Brownshoe. You expected the opening sequence in the pilot to be another Mark Savage novel and I enjoyed the nod to Cannel when he talked about writing a murder. As always I enjoyed the old movie posters and bits of music which are all the better for the way they're shot. The angles and lighting help set the mood for it all. Some of it's silly but I love a light moment in a murder mystery, it's all part of the ride. Corny as it is, I still love to see a happy ending so it works for me.
