Frankly I consider everyone noble enough to put their life on the line to serve our country a hero. All this bs about McCain not being a war hero is rediculous. He's not considered a war hero because he was a POW. He's a hero because while he was a POW he was offered a chance to be released because they KNEW who his father was. He refused because the military's policy is POWs get to come home in the order of their capture. So yes he is a hero because he decided to stay with his brothers instead of choosing to oh I dunno avoid any more torture.
