Replacements? What a moron. When was the last time you had a family video taken and hung on your wall. As a professional photographer and videographer I get paid way more for my photographs than videos. See 2 other replies

It is funny that you say that, considering photography has survived thus far. People still pay thousands of dollars for photos, and only hundreds for film. I understand where you are coming from, thinking that it will be replaced by a "newer" technology, but you also have to remember that it is much easier to carry around photo equipment, then video, and a photo has a bigger effect on a person then contextual film according to most prominent psychologists. Besides, most of these photographers also do video, just for the fact that it is a field where diversity gets you work. See 2 other replies

I did notice that they reused a few shots, but I wonder whether or not that was intentionally done to emphasize the different perspective that each journalist had on the same scene. For instance, I didn't realize that one of the protests was the same until I saw the German Shepherd the second time because Alyssa's commentary on the village was much more insightful. Or they're just cheap. See 1 other reply

Hey, I was dissapointed at the outcome of the photo journalism assignment bcause I thought the point of doing this work was to help people, not exploit them. It would be nice if they, or you, could tell the public how to send toys to the children in refugee camps, or clothes, or food etc...
I have actually brought things to the kids, but do not know how to send them. They really need dodge balls, which they call "playground balls" for the kids. Look at them, they are really sad, help them, don't just film them!!!
