Barney Miller is one of those landmark endeavers that will always be funny.The Andy Griffith Show, Sandford and Son, and M.A.S.H. are among others. The thing about Barney is you have a boringly dull and sane person and you surround him with a varied array of characters and let it all happen.The writers are very good at what they do, and the actors bring it to life.My recommendation is that you take the time to sit back (with some wine and popcorn) and just let your cares go. This is situation comedy at it's finest.

I had forgot how much I enjoyed watching this show. For those of you who have never seen it, you should try it. The episodes are well written. The comedy is easy to laugh at, and the pace of the episodes never seem to get bogged down by the story lines.If you watch Conan O'brian's late night show, you will recognize Abe Vigoda (Fish), and also Detective Harris, who played the preacher on a recent Sci-Fi show called Firefly.Since most of the shows were placed at the station, so I had forgot Barney Miller had a family. It is great how they filmed all that great comedy in that small station house room, with nothing more than a few desks, a cell, and three doors.Do yourself a favor. Watch some episodes, and see if it doesn't make you forget the troubles of your day for a little while.
