I have thought that since 1985..amazing wonderful..nifty..silly..( and to think i liked him then..cuz i was a geeky kid who thought he looked like Peter Cook,so i wanted to know more..) Robyn has shaped my guitar playing..and even kind of guitar i play..he is priceless..it was so cool to find this on HULU..i haven't seen it in a long while..( ever seen 'gotta let this hen out??")
Robyn Hitchcock is a bloody musical genius. Period. Seeing as the average hulu watchers IQ is about er 10.2 ... will probably go over most of your smelly heads. Unlike jay z, chris martin, rolling stone magazine etc..he's not selling anything hos!
Not runnin' out to load up my play list with him, but...whether one's taste or not, this is what the singer/songwriter "thing" is all about. One guy/girl, one instrument/guitar, one point of view and message. Very Glen Hansard. Very minimal. Very raw. Love it...in structure and simplicity — even if he's ripped off my as-yet unattempted storefront concept ;)
