So we have these three dude hunting our four heroes who have an amazing regenerative cloning ability. Sounds like it's going to be a pretty intense episode, right? Yeah, it sorta was. Except it's own plot holes fall are so gaping they end up destroying what little believability it had.
These three strangers have perfect clones that wear down the four until exhaustion. So why, exactly, are we supposed to believe Kabuto when he says that the three genin will appear after they are exhausted? And then why in the world do the genin actually do it!?! They have a perfect position in the trees. They can't get attacked. You genin want their Earth Scroll so badly have one of their goopy clones go up and grab it. It's certainly a lot safer than exposing your position.
And then, why didn't Kabuto, Sasuke and Sakura revert to substitution clones once Naruto used Shadow Clone? Or better yet, they could've started scanning the bushes for the mystery genin once Naruto kept the clones busy. But like I said in my previous reviews: Nothing in this show makes sense.
