A New Season: A Do-Over -- Was this really necessary?

I found the the original season to be a whimsical , endearing and smart commentary on the jllted hollywood wife struggling to regain her own identity and find her place in the world after realizing that the world she had known before had been a sham. The denouement was sentimental and balmly satifsying.

I find the new season however to be a desperate attempt to cash in on the success of the prior season. I despise the new actor portraying her husband, poor acting and characterization. The whole rationale for the new season reeks of superficiality, based on an abruptly forced hackneyed plot.

The new ex husband is awful!!!

He is NOT believeable as a studio exec. And he is just too young to play the part. The first ex made you loathe him, and he is a far better actor. I might not move forward with watching this show... I will test the waters a bit longer.

is this supposed to be a slice of life?

women are the ones divorcing men in USA, if this is supposed to be cute because its contrary to trends, that is understandable.

seems more like a false statement about the divorce crisis though. same tired old stuff about women being victims of evil men. that's just not the way things are anymore. they have been the perps in this realm for quite some time now. i think they initiate like 3/4 of all divorce. that's shocking considering how many men simply won't marry because of financial entrapment. women are divorcing 3/4 of those left with enough hope in marriage to give it a shot.
