Obama hasn't taken a single dollar from lobbyists for this campaign and asked McCain and all of the earlier candidates to join him in this philosophy. No other candidate can say they didn't take lobbyist money for their campaigns. And, Obama has done the most aggressive grass roots fund raising from every day American citizens that I've ever seen. It's brilliant and it's working two-fold for him: both in raising money (donations as small as you want, but from voters) and in creating awareness/loyalty of voters thru involvement and vested interest.   See 6 other replies

If you look into American history, we've never had common sense. I agree with your statements too, but I wouldn't say Obama and McCain are the same. I would argue that there is a lesser of two evils. And who are to say that WHOEVER gets elected, this is the election that real change will occur.

"Change"..BS. The only change you will see between the two is: Democrats = more government and welfare abusers. Republicans = More of the same crap you have been exposed to for the last 8 years (with Democratic congress giving the "thumbs up").Abolish both parties and let the candidates run on principle. Forget there are Elephants and Donkeys for a second and examine who these people are and what they stand for. Then maybe.. just maybe someone will rise to the top who can bring real change.Common sense is lacking in this country, and somehow, somewhere we need to find it again.   See 6 other replies
