Was expecting a typical 50's teen exploitation/juvenile delinquent flick. While not a masterpiece, it has it's moments and actually held my interest. Again - surprisingly good!!

As B-Movies go, this one is a classic. You have the over acting that is not too hard to watch. A nice enough story line. The realism that sometimes you just got to get a little rough back to get at the truth. I won't tell you how it ends other than all movie studios back then had a requirement that all good guys won and all bad guys lost.

he was a sick puppy. this guy was way ahead of his time. sadly, this type of behavior is much more common place than it ever has been. thanks for posting this film. i really enjoyed it. who was the actor who played the witness who testified against the brother leading to his/the brother's execution?

Entropy ensues @ 30.30. THere are two sides to every coin. Chet was as sane as anyone, he just needed some re education, de & re programming.

I usually don't bother to write reviews if I don't think I can add anything to what's already been said, but since most of the people who've written reviews seem to be B-movie aficionados/enthusiasts, this is a review for the rest of us non-film-buffs.I thought it wasn't half bad really. Obviously supposed to be a psychological thriller, and most of it holds up surprisingly well to today's standards. Of course the characters are pretty stock standard, but Chet's story and his psychological progress throughout the movie were interesting.The main reason I give it only three stars would be a spoiler, so I'll leave it out, but I will say that Chet's girlfriend made me want to change the channel, even taking into account that this was made in 1961. Ick.
