This is a great old "B" movie. Sure its campy with a lot of overacting and the plot line has a few holes, like the ages of the men. She was, I think only 7 when she witnessed the murders, yet phillip carved their names on the tree. If you freeze frame on the bible entries of the family tree it looks like all of the boys were in their late teens when they were murdered. Also, if Jonah is Mark's dad why doesn't he call him dad later in the movie. But the subliminals are great. If you watch the counter you can catch some of the messages: one of the last one is at counter 1:05:23 the RED cobra, it was in red which is unusual for a black and white film. The caption reads: "Rent Rhino Videos every day!" All of the subliminals are a single frame insert. Most are cartoon faces of goblens and scary Igor-types. "Die, Die, Die!" and "Scream bloody murder!" are also there, but the Red Cobra with "Rent Rhino..." I believe was added when Rhino bought the rights. It's still a great story line even with it's flaws. Any romantic at heart will enjoy this film, so will "camp-lovers" everywhere. Happy watching.
