Well, this is an interesting thread. Apparently some of you know more than we do about who's in charge of what network bought out by who cares!!!!! My point is this!!!!! For more than 50 years, we the consumers have watched FREE PROGRAMING because the sponsors of products know we will buy their goods and services if they advertise! They pay for the time so that THEY can show THE CONSUMER their product! And we, THE CONSUMER will buy!!! So.... if it has worked successfully for all these years, why!!!!!! WHY do we, THE CONSUMER have to pay????? Greed is rampant here! And David, No one works for free! No one here said anything about working for free! But for you to say that someone needs lessons on morality bc they point out the greed that lines the pockets of executives is silly, foolish, and shows you understand very little about morality. Again, my problems is this... to watch for free, you must watch my commercial. O.K. that's a deal and in return, I will most likely buy your product! I don't care what you say, if it's worked all this time, it will continue to work, unless you run out of people to squeeze! I CAN'T pay for anything on the internet! Where's the morals in charging people for what is already paid for by Sponsors? That is just pure greed to double dip, especially in a depression such as this.   See 9 other replies

I'm sure there are many people out there who work far harder, that make far less than Rupert Murdoch. I know the CEO of a small (not quite nearly as big as NewsCorp) corporation, and his actual work is pretty small. This whole "people work hard for their money " stuff is BS, some people work hard doing honest work and can barely afford to feed their kids. Rupert can do whatever he wants with his products, I don't care, but we in this country need to leave this whole "rich people worked for it" mentality.Some worked honestly up, some were born into it, and others cheated and lied their way up. @Carmen Ortiz, Of course they care what I say, and you say and the rest of their viewing audience. Not so much the broadcasters but the sponsors themselves. One person doesn't make as much difference as 1000 standing firm, but it all starts with one. In this modern age of zero ethics and complete selfishness, be prepared for everything you like to disappear because people refuse to stick together. Gone are the days of solidarity and pride in one's self, family and neighborhood. If you aren't willing to help fix something and only stop by to troll, I'm sure I speak for a great many when I ask you to please stop wasting our breathable air.   See 9 other replies

You need to get your information from actual sources that know what they are talking about. Rupert is not canceling contracts with any provider. Wherever you heard that, tell them to shut up, because they are full of BS.As for greedy? Do you work for free? No? Then why do you expect others to work for you for free? No SyFy is part of NBCU which owns the cable channels USA and several others. Hulu is a joint venture between NBCU and Fox. Hulu's showing has nothing to do with Fox programming. They are just a content provider for this website.   See 9 other replies

Hello fellow Sanctuary and SyFy watchers. I am caught off guard as to upcoming changes. Please let me know what's going on. Is SyFy one of the channels owned by News Corp which is owned my the greediest jerk to hit the airwaves ever. I am of course speaking of Rupert Murdoch and have heard he is discontinuing his contract with either DirecTV or Dish Network. As of writing this it escapes me which one but I believe you understand my question. Hopefully someone will respond. I have been a Science Fiction fan since I was a little boy in the late 50's and early 60's. Thank you in advance for your help.
