I herd the dub for this once, and L's voice is really out of place! Not bad, just odd......

I only like watching dub if the voices are good, and sometimes theres only one kind available. But when i get really into what im watching, i forget that its subbed and that I'm actually just Reading.

I prefer dubs, because I watch Hulu at work on one monitor and actually work on another. Subtitles make doing my job harder. Then, when I get home and watch, I prefer dubs because I can just shut off my brain and relax, instead of reading.

When I want to read, I read a book. Reading subtitles doesn't make you superior to people who don't in any way, it just makes you a jerk. See 8 other replies

Why are the Japanese so into the abuse and degradation of women? I'm not condemning it or anything, I'm just wondering why they're so into it.

The dubbed version is magnificient. The dialogue is better than the subtitled text, and the voice actors are really great. I hate watching regular films that are dubbed, but for this there's no downside. The voice acting is all that one is compariing, since the "lip synching" in a regular film I find really annoying. But for an animated series, if there are good actors, as there are in Death Note, and the actors are good, I find it better since you can concentrate on the story and interaction, rather than reading. I also agree. This is supposed to be a "smart" anime. I mean, anyone's welcome to watch it, but it's rather ironic to have anyone preferring dubbed versions watching it. This is just my view, and I'm biased because I hate dubs. See 8 other replies
