Of course the possibility is there, and whether or not Light and Amane have relations is never stated, because it doesn't matter. It's possible that Light doesn't care about that activity, since he has much more pressing matters to deal with. See 2 other replies

I love how Light went from a guy who was trying to create an ideal world to someone who is as bad as the same people that he was trying to rid the world of.
