This qualifies as one of the best episodes in the whole series IMHO. A good story line (I didn't trust Saxon's character for a second, esp since Beth fawned all over him), a good supporting cast (too bad Rocky wasn't in this one) and a close look into the relationship between Jim and Beth. I'm a romantic, so while I drooled over some of the co-starlets that were run through Rockford's trailer long before they became famous (and who now, 30 years later, are fodder for the plastic surgery and lip plumping vampires), I always thought Beth would have been best as girlfriend/sidekick/spouse had the show had gone in that direction. Sadly, that idiotic dispute over salary between the producer and the suits at Universal (not her fault) ruined it. Major loss.
