Yeah well anyone can freaking read cue cards now!! I mean god the worst people without any talent could be funny if you had some clever writer's helping you out. It all has gone downhill since Will Farrell and Tina Fey Left. Yeah, I read somewhere that Andy's Digital Shorts improved the average viewership of SNL by 46% over last season. I'm hoping that next season they'll dump a lot of this season's cast and get some newer, funnier faces on there. And gets some new writers, as well.   See 3 other replies

SNL went downhill a long time ago, and Samberg and Co. are an improvement over what we had before they showed up. At least they're coming up with some new, somewhat original stuff - the randomness is just their style. SNL hasn't been truly "great" since the late nineties and the Will Ferrel, Tracy Morgan, Chris Kattan era, but the sheer absurdity of skits like this, even if not representative of the show as a whole, is the kick-start the show needs to rise again. It might not exactly be clever comedy, but it grabs some viewers, which is what they need to continue attracting what will hopefully someday be another all-star cast.   See 3 other replies
