I recently joined the navy and prior to making my decision to sign up my dad had introduced me to carrier and told me to watch it. And it really helped me make up my mind. This show makes me look forward to the future and what to expact of it. As far as the whole tanya thing, baby or not, she would have to be kicked to the curb. I would file for custody when the baby was born. Shes obviously way too immature for such a serious task.

Having joined the Navy 32 years ago, it was great seeing this series. It brought back many memories of when I was a young sailor deployed aboard the USS Forrestal while attached to CVW-17 in VS-30. The series brought out a whole range of emotions.....some happy, anger, sadness, tearful, joyful and proud.Not much has changed over the years and this is something that I would want my just turned 18 yr old son to view. It's definitely a must watch program. It was beautifully filmed and edited to provide a views without bias......great job to Mel Gibson and his company for having brought his to the screen.

I deployed out of the Navy in April of 1980.
I did the last three years on the USS Coral Sea (CVA-43.
We were in the Gulf under the Carter Presidency.
During the hostage crises in Tehran, Iran.
I do belive that had we, the USA ,handled that entire situation,
in a much more forceful way, that we would not have the problems we have now.
All that aside, man did this series bring back so many memories.
No women on board back then.
Different uniform back then.
For years after, I suffered a re-occuring nightmare that I re-enlisted, back into my old V-3 Division.
Yet today, I wish I had.
I remember we busted our buts all day, and all night.
I remenber the good times more easily than the rough times.
Went in a boy, and came out a Man!

Tanya is so immature...I feel bad for the baby daddy. To be fair...it has got to be tough talking intimately about their situation in front of a camera. She is still a major witch for cheating on him while he was away. Sad situation for a child to start out in.
