She can always stop having sex. Seriously two unwanted pregnancies? It may be difficult for tubal ligation , this is true however if you are that serious about not having children then stop having sex. It's the easiest solution. Or make sure you are on the pill, condoms and simultaneously use the "pull out method" if after all of that and you're still getting pregnant then maybe someone needs to walk you and your partner through how to use contraception. Also the ectopic pregnancy was also unwanted she just didn't make the decision yet but it would have been aborted as well. Most of the time the issue is " well we got caught up in the moment" or " pulling out a condom kills the mood" we'll try pulling out unprotected etc etc. It's the sloppy decisions that = accidental pregnancies. The issue is a baby is growing for 9-10 months in a woman's body and If she's not doing her best to make sure she doesn't have a baby then she has to deal with the consequences as they come . No I don't feel abortions were made to be used as many times as possible. But knowing her after a few more issues like this, she'll probably will not be able to conceive. Who knew she would get this lucky with one F-tube? Also if someone really doesn't want children and they've been having sex with the same man perhaps it's time to tell him to snip snip. He's getting you pregnant not the other way around. Why would someone continue to have a baby vacuumed out just because a man's sperms hit the jackpot more than once? If that's happening one must wonder how safe the person is when having sex. Sperm getting through generally means everything else is getting through too. Better wish your partner is faithful. Getting pregnant due to reckless behaviors may be the least of your concerns. There are so many options for birth control now that it's looks bad when women are running around aborting babies 4 times in the same year. Perhaps stick to oral.   See 19 other replies

As a woman who does not want children, I will tell you flat out that you have no idea how hard it is to get sterilized as a female. Men can get vasectomies at 21 in many states, and generally are never questioned harshly about their decisions. Whereas in many states, you cannot get a tubal without being at least 25 or have 3 kids. And even when you qualify for either, you're still badgered and chastised from medical professionals that should not have an opinion one way or the other. So don't sit there and pretend to know the battles that women face when it comes to permanent sterilization.   See 19 other replies

You're right. No method of contraception works 100%.
I'd just wish there was some indication that if she got accidentally pregnant, it was because her contraception failed. You know, something that showed she at least tried to prevent it.
It could be somewhat of a joke. Say have some freaked out unexpectedly pregnant girl protest how could the condom and the pill fail her at the same time and have Christina make a classic Christina face going like "tell me about it!"   See 19 other replies

I have learned that sometimes medical doctors are the worst at following their own advice, or applying medical knowledge to themselves. Last time I had a physical, my doctor asked me if I exercise. He said that I am in great shape (weight wise and with all my blood tests), but I am getting older and this is the perfect time to get into a routine to maintain that. The thing is, he is very overweight. I would have thought, "Well, maybe he wants me to learn from his mistakes"...except that he is only about 5-10 years older than me.   See 19 other replies
