I dunno, there are so many different communities of Indians in New York who speak entirely different languages, and among them, different religions, different political affiliations. I'm sure there's more than one way of it going down.The Indians I've spent time with have it more like JDate, with family involvement; there are introductions if they're single, the couple get to know each other on their own, and if they really like each other, they can take it to the next level. And it's more like a cousin saying, "dude, I met this girl/guy I think you'd hit it off with!"A few guys do it completely arranged with someone they've never met, but that's their own preference, not generally something imposed from above--to my experience.There's a correlation between willingness to do like that, and increased perception of their identity as Indian.

hmmm. i've seen some pretty terrible movies, and really terrible acting. imho, you are being way too harsh.
