And that's why I've waited so long to try this show. Honestly, it's pretty good. And wildly different from Glee, the comparisons of which kept me from watching it to begin with. (Unquestionably a good thing) Always been a Messing fan. Easy to make the jump for some Messing critics as a character necessity to working with gay characters after Will and Grace. Too easy really, and an insult to her talents. Honestly, this seems a pretty weak criticism. She's a talented and beautiful actress, and her roles have always only displayed her as tolerant and understanding of others.
Putting all that aside, this show appears to have real potential. I get Glee. It's flashy, sometimes funny, and while generally absurd, is undeniably entertaining. For this show, though, I'm one episode in, but this show clearly has more meat that Glee ever did or will.
