As an amateur writer, I enjoyed the movie, the characters, just about everything about it. A fun watch on a slow day. I just may watch again a year from now. Also, ignore the haters of this movie, for they missed the point of it, nothing more. It's not an insult to say so. Look, I dont care for some kinds of music, but I can at least recognize that it is my personal opinion and therefore not an opinion of fact. Enjoy!

The writer and character probably think of themselves as having a zen attitude, but some of the characters' reactions later in the movie show that he doesn't completely, but is able to keep calm about it, because he has the ability to deal with the situation including having the money to have a lawyer handle it for him. I liked it and think it would be a good movie to watch for someone who is interested in literature and writing. The mind games are interesting, and the self analysis narrated along the way gives a lot of information about writing techniques and possible things to think about while writing. I liked how the audience gets pulled into the analysis of whether one or another circumstance would be disappointing to them. It has some well written and poorly written examples that the viewer kind of analyzes as they happen. One thing that keeps it interesting all along the way is the idea that it might be based on something that actually happened. In the end it appears that it may have actually happened, if the end is taken literally.

Wow, I could only take about seven minutes of this. I liked Campbell Scott in "Singles" and then that movie with the kid, but I have the feeling here that he's playing his self-loathing self. And that's not interesting to watch.

Another failure of a movie. At about 20 minutes had enough...wasn't going anywhere with this plot.
