One of the best war movies I've seen, and done for well under $1 million. The story, script, acting, direction, editing, sound, score, and cinematography are all fantastic. It won 14 "best picture" awards at film festivals around the country.
Originally rated R by the MPAA (they just don't get it), it was edited down slightly to get a PG-13. I found very little objectionable, and much of it to be uplifting -- two qualities that Hollywood just doesn't understand.
This film is highly recommended, if for no other reason than it is a prime example of excellent filmmaking on a conservative, restrained budget.
