Hulu indicates that the story you were commenting on is the January 23, 2012 Nightline story of a young woman who was cyberstalked for several years by a former college classmate. The young man left videos yelling, "Please listen to me and let me be nice. We need to talk face-to-face." Anger/control issues. "It's up to you now. Save your own life." Pretending to shoot into the webcam. "I'm going to tie your wrists together and follow you home from work." And dozens of calls every day. He had a kidnap and sexual assault kit in a backpack ready to use on this woman.I personally do not see that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights was violated. He is actually lucky he only got 2 years. The judge took mercy on him in a way given what he did. I think the judge was taking into consideration his young age and wanted him to have a shot at a future. The prosecution asked for 15 years and then they offered the man a plea deal. He was sentenced to 4 years and they allowed the time he was imprisoned was considered "time served" so he was only sentenced to actually 2 years. It's a scary thought he'll be out in 2 years. Scary.
