They could scale back on the Ben & Leslie stuff but I'm really tired of TV shows being afraid to have a positive, committed, long lasting relationship between adults and I like seeing that on this show between these two. They seem to truly care about each other, have a lot in common and there are definitely funny moments surrounding that. I hope they end up getting married and the wedding is a ridiculous and hilarious mess.
BUT, I'd really rather they focus on the Tom / Ann thing for a minute as that could be really funny. Especially if Chris starts trying to get in the middle of it or something.That could both expand the characters of Tom and Ann to a deeper level as well as show Chris get a bit awkwardly petty, which would be refreshing after all the Ken doll kale smoothie business he's been doing the whole time.
There's just no need to do anything drastic with Leslie / Ben as they can just kind of idle in neutral for a while as the other cast members get their turn to be developed.
One relationship I am totally sick of is the April / Andy marriage, though. They never make me laugh and I don't understand the motivation between them that resulted in them even dating. I would think April would go for someone much smarter and with a cynical nature. Andy's character is just so boringly obtuse at this point that I can't figure out how he even manages to feed himself. And April is so fawningly in love with him despite the fact that their whole life together is a big mess that I can't help but worry about her in the long term, which takes me out of the comedy of the show.
All just my opinion, as long as the jokes keep coming I'll keep watching regardless of what happens. :)   See 5 other replies

sure, perhaps dave wasn't at leslies level, but he was super sweet and funny and i thought they were cool together. this other guy ben is funny too, but in a weird skinny indie kid kind of a way, not like a down-to-earth guy from America's heartland (i.e. Pawnee), you know? and i definitely think they give him waaaaay to much screen time. i miss april and andy, tom, jerry, ann, donna, and of course... RON!
I mean, ratings don't lie, Parks and Rec was finally doing well last year, but this season is rough, and what has changed? they made Ben and Chris regulars. now i like Ben, his role is unique and fun, but Ben is kinda pointless in my opinion...   See 5 other replies

Leslie didn't have any chemsitry with Dave. In fact, she was settling when she dated him. She wasn't even that interested and it showed. Ben and Leslie are perfect together, they are both kind of dorky and and they totally get each other (hence Ben getting her the Yatcher Otter) I thought the episode of bringing back Dave was pointless and boring. Leslie didn't consider getting back together with him for even a second and why would she?   See 5 other replies

Yeah I feel like you couldn't be more wrong. They have great chemistry and it feels to me like Leslie really likes him. I didn't think that her and Dave had much chemistry either. Ben is a believable character and he's hilarious. So please writers, don't ever consider killing off any of these characters.   See 5 other replies

actually i think Ben has a lot of chemistry with Leslie, especially near the middle of season 3. Dave didn't have much chemistry at all. Just my opinion.   See 5 other replies
