Don't miss Christopher Meloni in the least. Couldn't stand his weird, violent,brooding character and I still dislike the Oliva Benson character. She's actually looking stale and board on the show as well, just no life in her acting, so she can go. This show could go on and on, it's all about the writing. Just do good who done it's, like Season 13 : Ep. 14 and ease of the morality message episodes and the show would be just fine. I didn't think I would like the new Anthony Anderson and Jeremy Sisto characters on the original Law and Order and never watched them. I recently checked out the last few seasons and they were actually pretty good and kept me entertained. Why, the writing.   See 9 other replies

I detested Benson and Stabler characters, but I loved the show for that fact. I loved the twist and turns, the complex writing. There is nothing special left of this show. It is just a run of the mill dectective show and not a good one at that.   See 9 other replies

So sad, but all good things must come to an end, I guess. The characters have such good chemistry and I miss the banter when they would all take sides on a particular case. Seems like the newbies are a bit too similar in attitude. Though with the new episode they are trying to add more character backgrounds and depth. I think the characters need more short comings. Stabler had anger issues & family stress/ Benson- her no personal life/ Munch was conspiracy theories/ Wong- doctor before law/ Tutuola- calm, cool & didn't talk about his personal life/ Alex- bent on winning/ Cragen- trying to keep his house in order.
