Thanks for this video series. It's an excellent show (much like Dinner for Five) where you can get a reality check of what it's like to work in a writer's room, or start a show from scratch.
This interview with Seth is awesome because of his candid (and hilarious) advice on how to break into the film and TV industry. It's interesting to hear about Seth's influences and how he used his own humor and ideas to make the kind of comedy show he wanted to make.
Also I'm glad that he points out that sometimes it really is about being at the right place, at the right time, making the right contacts -- as well as just jumping on every chance you get no matter if you're prepared or not. Say yes first, then figure out how to do it.
I'm thrilled to hear that more show want to get funny women into their writers' rooms -- which gives some of us hopes that it's more about whether you can make people laugh and not about if you can use the same bathroom. ;-)
I hope this show continues with more inspirational and entertaining interviews!!!
