The kitten meowing was the symbol of MTM Enterprises who produced the show. It was a take off on the MGM lion roaring. MTM Enterprises was the company owned by Mary Tyler Moore and run by her husband and their son. See 3 other replies

Where did u work at in radio? I too watched this program as a teen, not even knowing that, years later, I would end up in the business. I worked in the Southwest, Yuma and Tucson, AZ, also Santa Fe NM.

I started out as a jock and did that for over 12 years. Eventually I became the morning newsman at a Country FM in Tucson and loved it. Did that for seven years before I got laid off in 2003, after 13 years at that station!

Never was quite the same after that and currently I am no longer in the business, though I do find myself longing for those days occasionally. See 2 other replies

Yep .. That is what happened with me. The sound of a cat meow just popped in my head.

I also noticed I mess up the intro song at the same point too. The part about packing up?? "I got kinda tired of packing and unpacking", is how I think it goes, but still doesn't stop me from messing the line up .. lol .. Starting to think it is some kind of mental glitch now. See 3 other replies

LOL ... not sure if it was nostalgic, or just sad? When the theme song came on, I found that I remembered the song. Even sang along with it. The series was very funny though when it aired, and I found it still entertaining now.

On the same note, when the credits rolled, I suddenly remembered a cat meowing. Guess you can figure out what I eventually saw .. the things that stick in our brains .. lol

One of The Best Shows Back Then...I laughed so much watching it again. I was a teenager when it first aired and it is still great!
