Taking cue from ancient Arabic literature, Dil Se is a journey through the "seven stages of love". The film depicts the attraction between a vivaciously obsessive All-India-Radio journalist (Shah Rukh Khan) and a quiet, enigmatic girl from a "remote" North-Eastern state of India (Manisha Koirala) - with political unrest and the North-East separatist movement as its backdrop It's dark, it's intense, It's poetry in motion. Career-best work by the cast and crew... A.R Rahman (music), Gulzar (lyrics), Santosh Sivan (cinematography), Suresh Urs (editing).. and the genius helming it all - Mani Ratnam.
Can't believe I'm the first one to write a review, I loved the singing and dancing at the beginning, but then it completely turns around and becomes a real heart wrenching serious love story with lots of action and suspense, I love this actor!
